Africa Unbound magazine aims to uplift and empower our community through critical and constructive exchanges of ideas and information. The mainstream media does a fairly good job of highlighting news events in Africa, including the on-going conflicts in various parts of the continent, corruption, and diseases. Alternatively, Africa Unbound aims to delve deeper into the events and issues that affect our lives, in an effort to explore the causes and implications of various developments, both positive as well as negative.

To that end, articles are being solicited on the following topics:

  • Current events and issues – analysis of current social, economic and/or political developments in African countries, with a focus on the cause(s) that produced the specific events/effects
  • History – featuring individuals and events that have had a significant impact on the future of their people and/or nations, with emphasis on the motivation and intention behind the actions
  • Culture and Ideas – the various aspects of ways of life of communities and their impacts
  • Spirituality – indigenous as well as progressive ways that Africans explore and practice spirituality
  • Arts – ways that Africans are expressing themselves

Length of Articles: 1000-2000 words in English.

All articles submitted will be reviewed and edited by our staff editors. We encourage you to include photographs and other graphics as appropriate.

Note: Writers are responsible for obtaining permission to republish their articles from the original source, prior to submitting an article to Africa Unbound.
