Artificial Intelligence (AI) Education in Uganda

My project aims to foster understanding and applicability of Artificial Intelligence (AI) among students in Uganda.  There is a huge gap among students, the workforce and young people in the following areas:

1. Understanding of AI and its applicability to solve real life challenges. Many companies want to use AI but they don’t know what to use it for.
2. Insufficient career guidance for students interested in computer science and IT related courses such as software engineering, computer architecture, etc.
3. Inadequate skills in the use of modern work tools especially those that support remote working.

My project intends to benefit high school students with two or less years to joining the university in the following ways:

1. Skilling:  AI courses that will equip students with AI knowledge and skills such as website designing, digital marketing, and use of AI agents to solve real life challenges.
2. Career guidance in computer science and IT related courses such as software engineering.
3. Prepare students for modern work environment such as remote work and online study.
